Syrah, Petite Verdot, Grenache and Carigan
Very bright ruby red with purple tints and beguiling aromas of fresh herbs, ripe red fruits, marinated prunes and a suggestion of black pepper. The palate is brightly fruited with red fruits, plums and blueberry and the tannins are both ripe and juicy adding structure to the wine. There is a lovely savoury note with licorice and blueberries on the finish which is long and concentrated.
This is a very attractive wine that is generous and flavoursome and elegantly perfumed.
With time I would expect the development of greater complexity, so if you have the will-power, cellar for a further 2 to 4 years.
